On 27 May 2020 Julia Charlton participated in the panel discussion on “China’s steps in tech on its way to becoming the world’s #1 economy. Belt and Road Initiative in tech” at the Digital Week Online conference.

The panellists included Musheer Ahmed of FinStep Asia, Tony A. Verb of GreaterBay Ventures and Michael Sung of Fudan Fanhai Fintech Research Center. The panellists discussed the forces driving tech initiatives in the next decade, the key regulatory challenges, the launch of the BSN and how this could be leveraged in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Over 5,000 participants across over 3 continents joined the conference online, confirming the success of this format and its future use.
